One of my favorite meals of this Tokyo trip was at Matsukawa 松川, a highly acclaimed kaiseki restaurant in Tokyo. Similar to Kyoaji, it has no Michelin yet constantly being on the top spots on Tokyo kaiseki rating. It is now one of my favorite kaiseki meals in Tokyo; I like it even more than Ginza Kojyu and Ishikawa which both have 3 Michelin Stars. That’s why Michelin should never been your only reference as you may be missing out some fantastic spots.
