Today is a rainy day and Japan is charming in a different way. With fog hanging low over the mountains and rain drizzling over castles that are centuries old, we get another feel of what Japan is like. We are starting to get a bit weary from all the traveling, so tonight we visit another Japanese inn, a ryokan. This time we're staying at a ryokan with a gorgeous view of the Hiroshima bay. At a ryokan they always serve kaiseki (haute cuisine) dinner and tonight we had a private dinner in our beautiful and minimalistic room. Feeling like the luckiest girl in the world, I'm now getting ready to take a long soak in the onsen. After we're squeaky clean, our soft and fluffy Japanese futons are made in the room, so we can rest and recharge our bodies.
