The tea pavilion designed by Raku the 15th is the main attraction at the Sagawa Museum. It was an extraordinary experience to enter and drink tea from Mr. Raku's tea bowls. It wasn't easy to leave my phone behind - I would have loved to photograph so many details of the space. But the rituals of tea require full physical, mental and spiritual presence - the kind of presence the distraction of devices undermines. The record of this experience lives in the imagery and impressions of memory. #artistinitiative #tea #raku #vsco
