Piece de Resistance: Spanish Mackerel (sawara) with butterbur tempura and butterbur sauce. Perfectly grilled fish and the butterbur which provided a nice bitter note (tempura provided the bitterness, sauce provided the lingering after taste) to go with the meaty flavours of the fish. Honestly this is one of those dishes that you just cant describe in words. #jikimiyazawa #kaiseki #kyoto #japan
