
In a travel column I came across today, an interviewee was asked where is the best place to have dinner in #Kyoto. The interviewee recommended a French restaurant. Isn't Kyoto the birthplace of #kaiseki? Why eat French in Kyoto when there is a plethora of excellent kaiseki eateries? May I suggest #Kichisen? Very under-rated eatery situated right next to Tadasu no mori forest. It took us an hour to find the #restaurant but it was worth it. #Chef Tanigawa had 2 #michelinstars when we visited but last year, he received his well deserved third star.
