Our booking time for dinner was 10pm, we actually arrived slightly early, about 9:50pm in the hope that the previous guest might have finished slightly early, but it was not meant to be. The 2 guests they expected to be finished by 10pm ate extremely slow. So by the time they left and we sat down was 10:30pm already. We sat right in front of Chef Matsuo's famous binchōtan grill. He was grilling some ayu for other guests, so I just snapped this photo.
