Visited 2*Ginza Okamoto 銀座おかもと , a Japanese kaiseki restaurant because of one reason: its connection with 3* Azabu Yukimura 麻布 幸村. When I visited Azabu Yukimura a few years ago, it wasn't a particular inspiring meal, yet when I visited the no star standup casual izakaya of which the chef is also trained in Yukimura, I totally fell in love with his food. In fact I have been returning there every time I come to Tokyo these days. So with Ginza Okamoto having 2 stars and seemingly positioning right in between the two, will the food live up to expectation? Well......Now I know......
